Location 1

Service Description

This 2-hour presentation details the major legislation and points of the civil rights movement for people with disabilities in the United States. Along the way, I highlight the forms of ableism to provide a context for the prevalence of ableist perspectives in society today and the continued need for more inclusive experiences in our society's institutions. Included are ideological changes supporting the ways people with disabilities are seen. Major organizations that provide resources are reviewed.
